Situated at 375 kms south of Mumbai, the 25 acres stretch of Ratnagiri yard is the oldest of the company. The modernization and expansion of the yard has been carried out in the recent past and the yard is located in a sheltered lagoon slightly away from the open sea. With a well-planned system of production, quality control/planning and fabrication, the yard guarantees complete quality assurance and control procedures. The yard comprises highly skilled workforce with its own in-house training facility. Presently, the company is installing a ship-lift facility having 12,000 tonnes lifting capacity at the yard. It is also well equipped with various other modern machineries and equipments like automatic welding machines, automatic blasting/ painting machines, CNC plasma cutting machines, etc. The yard is also certified by international ship & port facility security (ISPS).

The Shipyard presently has a H.T. Transformer Center of 500 KVA capacity. The Shipyard has its own captive power (750 KVA) plant consisting of Diesel Generating Sets. Oxygen and Acetylene gas and other consumables necessary for construction are readily available.

Trained and skilled manpower is easily available since Ratnagiri is District headquarters. The Shipyard has an in-house training facility. It also serves as a Training Institute for Industrial workers, Polytechnic Technicians and Engineers.

The Stores Department is well organized and is managed by qualified and efficient hands that have wide experience in this field. The Shipyard has incorporated a well planned system of production, quality control/planning and fabrication.

The Ratnagiri yard, is presently capable of fabricating and erecting upto 14 vessels simultaneously of various sizes. The wet basin (with a lock gate) for outfitting can accommodate upto 6 vessels simultaneously. Larger vessels are fitted out at the deep draft jetty outside of the wet basin.
